I am auctioning off this set. It is in excellent condition. If you sell on ebay, which I don't, you could sell pieces individually easily. Just check out the prices! Bidding will end at 6pm on Sunday, March 18th.
Four piece, mid century, lotus set by Cathrineholm, Norway--starting bid at $100

There is a 7.5" plate, an 8" bowl, a 5.5" bowl, and a 4" bowl.

Vintage sage green enamelware set--$12

Four pieces, all in great shape, from Sweden. Very pretty color.

Vintage Stanley 24" folding ruler--$6

Numbers are readable, definitely been used, folds nicely.

Antique pen knife, mother-of-pearl--$10

Made by the Krusius Bros., there is a small piece of the mother-of-pearl missing from the other side.

Antique, monogrammed, pen knife--$25

This is called by some a lobster or fruit knife which I'm sure it could have been used for in addition to cutting the quill or "pen" of a feather. On one blade is "Coin" so perhaps it is coin silver. It's a neat knife anyways!

Vintage "Marble's" match holder case--$20 SOLD

On one end it says, "Match's, Gladstone, Mich. Pat'd 1900."

The piece is done with an antique-look gold glitter on blue painted cardboard. It measures 8" by 9.5". Nice for a child's room. Helps them learn Roman Numerals, too!

Glittering sequined doily--$5

I couldn't resist buying this, it was so beautiful in the sunlight. I can't make it into anything specific no matter which way I turn it. It's just pretty!

Vintage tin funnel with filter--$10

Probably used in the making of moonshine. it makes a lovely wall pocket! See next picture.

Probably used in the making of moonshine, this funnel has a filter and a handle with a lever to raise and lower a stopper in the spout to stop and start the flow of liquid.

Late 1800's woven paisley coverlet--$35

The piece is in very good condition. There are a few small holes, but when laid on a piece of furniture, they are not noticeable. It measures about 5.5' square. This piece would have been used on a table, couch, sometimes as a piano scarf, on a buffet.

Lots of antique black lace, and one white lace piece--$25

There are lengths of edging, two shawls, odd pieces, what looks like a bureau scarf, but probably worn on one's head, and more. Good lot to buy for the right person.

These are just the cutest things! And they're marked Revere Ware with the copper bottoms. I put the cookie cutter beside them so you could see how small they are.

24 vintage wood alphabet blocks--$12

These blocks have letters, pictures of animals, and vehicles such as a truck, bus and the "Zep." as in zeppelin. Shows the age of the blocks!

These are very sweet and collectible with their tiny roosters and cocktail glasses handstitched.

This is a lovely antique trivet--pretty as wall art or to use or hang by your fireplace. Quite old.

Vintage fishing creel--$25

This is a nice older fishing creel. I stand corrected by a customer in that the string holding the top to the bottom is how fishing creels of this type were made. That's a ruler on the top to measure fish.

Three piece antimacassar set--$20 (two arm doilies and one head doily)--called antimacassar because macassar was a type of hair oil used by men long ago and it would get on the furniture, hence--antimacassar!

Antique oval frame with needlepoint flower girl--$20

The frame is in excellent shape. The needlepoint is old, but probably not as old as the frame. It's very well done, however.

Antique folding bamboo chair with slat seat--$25

This was a child's chair. it is in great condition, but not for a child to sit in nowadays! It would be very cute in a bathroom with towels stacked on it, or in a bedroom or living room with a favorite doll or stuffed animal.

Elephant rug--$15

The rug is in great shape, made of that woven material.

Antique brass sleigh bells--$30 Bells measure 1+ inches in diameter.

This is only a part of the whole strap that would have been used on a horse's harness. The leather was broken, but I attached the two pieces with leather lace pieces on the back.

Antique ironstone pitcher--$25

I wasn't sure this was ironstone until I saw a faint mark on the bottom and looked with a magnifying glass. It is and it's a very nice piece!

Vintage Boston and Lockport Block Co. double pulley block--$25

This one is in nice condition. This type of pulley was used on sailing vessels to help with the rigging.

Antique (or close to it) set of 12 vintage cutwork napkins--$10/set

This is a lovely set, most napkins are without any spots and the ones with the spots could be taken care of by hanging on a clothesline and dabbing with some white vinegar.

Antique copper "witch's hat" candle snuffer--$10

Nice piece and it does a better job than if you blow out tapered candles. If you get wax inside it, just heat it up over a flame and wipe out with a paper towel, or you can put it in your freezer and the wax will separate away from the metal.

This is a really sweet piece for Easter. It's about the size to hold a hardboiled egg, maybe that's what it was designed for!

Lovely,large vintage kerosene lamp--$25 Now red-dotted=$12.50

This is a well-working lamp. with a knob that turns the wick up and down easily. If you're going to have an oil lamp, you might as well be able to use it! The glass is not real red glass, but an applied color to the glass, a technique quite common in the 1940's.

Two wooden tennis rackets--$5 each

One is a Wilson, the other a Bancroft.

Two vintage pencil sharpeners--

The one to the left is the oldest with one hole for a pencil (fits regular pencils)--$15
The other one has varying hole sizes--$12 SOLD
Both sharpen pencils excellently. Both are wall mount or desk mount and twist depending on which way you choose to mount them.

Three horse-related items--

Two bridle pieces, the large one is $4 and the smaller ones, marked "Never Rust, England" is $8. Both bridle pieces are sold.
The third item is a bridle holder. The piece mounted to a wall and the bridle was hung over the rounded part.

Vintage cookbook holder--$10

This is a neat design because it holds your cookbooks as shown (the wood tilts to the large upright end, but you can open your cookbook to read the recipe and lay it flat so you can read it. See next picture.

I just love this piece, but there's no place in my kitchen for it. It is made of hard plastic and in perfect shape.

Three vintage hooks--$8 each

These could be hooks for hats and clothing or they could be horse-related as we got them along with other horsey items.

Cheese saw and cheese slicer. Both vintage, but the cheese slicer is older.

Andirons are $25 and the tongs with very different ends that look like claws are $12.

The purse is in excellent shape and bright and colorful and certainly something that people will notice!

Unfortunately, the glass has a crack in it, but it is straight N/S direction so it's not noticeable because it lines up with the needle. Interesting piece, made by the F. Jaynes Co. The case is wood.

Vintage metal eagle house plaque--$20

This has a lovely copper color over the white metal giving it a bronzed look. Designed for over a door. Nice piece.

A well executed still life painting on some kind of cardboard. The shape tells me that it was the back of something else and was not framed in glass. it would be beautiful if it were framed!

This is a small basket with five tiny balls.

The bottom has a small S G, but I'm not sure who the maker is. Some kind of Sandwich glass?

Nice for a ball of pretty yarn or use as an Easter Basket. It's in great shape.

The writing is somewhat gone, but the name of the company is clear.

I don't think this is very old, but it is really well made and eye catching.

Vintage 40's metal 6 doz. egg box--$25

This has its original egg cylinders inside and the directions on how to pack the box. It is a conversation piece.

Interesting pottery jug--$25 Now red-dotted making it $12.50

Hand made with a spout for pouring and a spout to drink from, I believe. It has a handpainted chicken on it. There are no marks. It is in very good to excellent condition.

Two Victorian lady silverplate pourers--$18 each Now red-dotted (only $9 each!)

I am only guessing at the use of these. You could pour liquid into the top and when you lift the lady by the dress, the top tips forward to pour. You could even use the "goblet" part of the dress as that is hollow. They are not identical. Both have different designs and features.
They stand 8.5 inches tall.

This is a piece that has something to do with horses--$25 Now half price ($12.50)

It is made from wood, is definitely older. one of the straps is the original leather, the other has been changed. When held u,p it looks like it would go around the neck of the horse, perhaps to keep him from biting as he wouldn't be able to lower his head with it on., sort of like a bucket that is used on dogs. I thought someone might actually use it for its real purpose or come up with a unique use for it--hang it from a beam and use it as a dried flower hangar?
